Measuring Service

We provide two types of measurement services. If you are simply interested in knowing how large a home and all contributory structures/additions are, we can provide you with a detailed sketch displaying the overall square footage of these items. These sketches are performed by a licensed real estate appraiser with a tablet PC right in the field. All home sketches are completed using ANSI standards to arrive at an accurate GLA (Gross Living Area) and GBA (Gross Building Area). The results can be used for anything from informing buyers of a home’s actual size to disputing county appraisal district records.

If you are interested in having an detailed layout or floor plan of your home recreated, we can provide this service as well. These floor plans can be very useful when attempting to sell your home or looking to make additions or changes.

Both home floor plans and house sketches are created using precision laser instruments, tablet PCs with sketching software and/or existing construction documents. We then transfer our field drawing into a layout program and produce a full colored document in Acrobat PDF format. This document is emailed directly to you in crystal clear resolution allowing maximum clarity.

Realtors – If you need more than just a calculation of a home’s Gross Living Area our floor plan recreation service can provide that much more detail of a home’s layout. You can now have detailed, color floor plans of all your listings to present to any interested buyers. Plans show accurate square footage of all interior spaces along with major room dimensions. Have definitive, accurate gross square footage documented with your listings along with interior square footage and dimensions of each room.

Homeowners – Are you thinking of selling your home yourself? Maybe you are looking to add a room or other addition and you would like to know how this will affect the Living Area calculations. Our measurement services can be instrumental in assisting you with knowing the actual size of your house.

Disputing County Records – Does the county have your home size too large causing you to pay more in taxes than you should? The only “proof” accepted by the county appraisal district of your home’s actual size  is a measurement by an actual appraiser.

Building Owners and Managers – Have a complete interior survey of your commercial building with exacting square footages of all your tenant spaces. Are new tenant finishes changing your existing building calculations?

Private Property Landlords – Have precise base drawings completed for marketing your vacant property to future tenants. This can help narrow the search to qualified tenants who already know the floor plan and square footage, saving you valuable time by only showing your space to interested candidates.
