Can real estate agents speak with the appraiser?

A Realtor, or any 3rd party involved in the sale, may make available specifics about the house or the specifics of the sale to the appraiser. Will the appraiser need access to my roof?

House appraisers do not physically go on the roof but they will examine it from ground level.
